Charles Brown

Charlie is an award-winning attorney and partner of Brown Carrington, PLLC. Known for strong representation and creative thinking, Charlie devotes his practice to domestic relations and family law cases throughout Indiana and Kentucky. Over the course of his career, he’s represented a diverse client base, including business owners, CEOs, celebrities, doctors, lawyers, fathers, mothers, and others. Charlie’s approach to divorce and custody cases stands out as unique and entirely bespoke.

With keen understanding that there are multiple routes to getting results, he carefully considers which is the very BEST way given all of the facts at hand. Sometimes, this means going straight to court and sometimes, it doesn’t. Charlie’s methodology has made him a trusted resource for those facing complicated, high-asset, and/or high-conflict cases. From complex property holdings to in-depth custodial issues, Charlie has the passion and expertise to help—even in extraordinary and high-stakes cases.

A proud Louisville native, Charlie graduated from DuPont Manual High School, studied psychology at Bellarmine University and earned his law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. Before starting his own firm, he served as staff attorney for a family court judge and Associate Attorney in a busy Louisville law firm. Today, he and his partner Brendon, strive for innovation in the practice of family law.

When he’s not working, Charlie relishes time with his wife and daughter. The family shares their home with a lively German Shepherd, Koa. Charlie also enjoys traveling and making things in his home workshop. And like any Kentuckian, he loves a good bourbon.
