Career Success
Samantha Holmes earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Purdue University in 2011. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from IU McKinney School of Law in 2015, where she was a member of Phi Alpha Delta honors fraternity as well as a Certified Law Intern with the Department of Child Services and the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. She also volunteered with Kids’ Voice of Indiana and assisted in drafting the 2017 CHINS Deskbook still used by family lawyers throughout the State of Indiana.
Samantha has ten years of trial experience in family and administrative law. Prior to joining Brown Carrington, she worked as an attorney for the Indiana Department of Child Services, the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, and Kids’ Voice of Indiana. She is proud to be a strong voice for clients who are often at their lowest point.
Currently, Samantha practices throughout the state of Indiana, representing clients in a wide range of family law matters including divorce, paternity, guardianship, adoption, Child in Need of Services (CHINS), Termination of Parental Rights (TPR), and third-party custody cases. She has extensive experience working in high-stress situations with families and clients in crisis. She strongly believes that legal expertise and compassionate representation are equally important parts of advocating for clients.
Samantha is a current member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association. She is a certified Guardian ad Litem and a registered Domestic Relations Mediator.
