Samantha A. Huettner is a Partner at Brown Carrington, PLLC. Samantha’s practice is dedicated to guiding individuals and families through the complexities of family law at both the state and appellate court levels. She brings a sharp, practical, and goal-oriented approach to each case, protecting her clients’ interests as if they were her own. Samantha’s unique professional background includes extensive experience in both civil, commercial, and corporate litigation in state and federal court. She draws on that background to design impactful legal solutions for her clients and is always up for a challenge, relishing opportunities to think “outside the box.” She listens, strategizes, and fiercely advocates for her clients, ensuring they feel understood and empowered throughout the process. Samantha is fascinated with the law and frequently contributes articles on emerging legal trends and trial practice. She is the co-author of the book, Divorce and Coparenting: A Support Guide for the Modern Family, published by the American Psychiatric Association. She has been featured in both Forbes and Fortune Magazine, Indiana: Leaders in the Law, and formerly served on the Board of Editors for the Indiana Civil Litigation Review. Professional Background and Contributions
Family law is the perfect blend of Samantha’s academic and professional interests, which have always centered on human behavior and personality, communication, and family. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, Samantha triple-majored in Psychology, English, and Criminal Justice. She furthered her studies in English Literature and Child Forensic Psychology at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. She earned her law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she also gained international legal experience working for a London-based law firm. During her law school tenure, Samantha clerked for the Honorable Frances G. Hill in Bloomington, Indiana, a pioneer in Indiana family law and child welfare and a wonderful early mentor. Beyond her professional life, Samantha enjoys interior design, learning new things, weightlifting, watching her toddler discover the world, and spending time with her husband and their five dogs.
